What makes it better
A good drink is good for a reason. Here’s a short guide to what sets one apart from another. For anything else, just ask at the counter.
Coffee
Espresso
The base of most of our coffees. Its taste comes down to the machine settings, the grind, the dose and how fresh the coffee is. That’s where we pay the most attention.
V60
Filter coffee made by hand: we pour hot water slowly over the grounds. It tastes cleaner and lighter than espresso and brings out more of the coffee’s own character.
Cold brew
Coffee steeped in cold water for many hours. Smoother and less acidic than coffee brewed with hot water.
Matcha
Matcha is green tea ground into a fine powder. Ours is freshly ground for us in Japan and flown in. Instead of steeping it, we whisk it into water, so you drink the leaf itself.
Matcha tea
Just matcha and water. The clearest way to taste it.
Matcha latte
With milk or plant-based milk, hot or iced. Creamier and softer.
Matcha tonic and matcha lemonade
Light, refreshing versions.
Tea
Choose from loose-leaf black, green, mint, rooibos and herbal teas.
Temperature and time
How a tea tastes depends on the water temperature and the brewing time. Green tea brews cooler and for less time, black tea hotter and for longer.
Chai
Chai is a spiced tea. With milk it becomes a creamy chai latte; with lemon and ginger it’s fresher, and it works iced too.
Just ask
